At the beginning, fast paced cuts and movement creates a sense of thrill and excitement among the viewer. The cuts between the fight and the crowd signify that there is a lot on the line for the fight and the main character (Kevin James) needs to win the all costs. The fight sequences are mostly shot by free hand camerawork to convey the chaotic nature of the fight and it emphasises the adrenaline rush both brawlers have in the current moment. There are several match cuts which helps showcase the rivalry between them. Towards the ending of the fight, the scenes were put in slow motion which comes in clear contrast from the beginning of the scene. This is done to increase tension heavily and make the outcome of the fight unclear. Slow motion was used when the main character is stuck in a choke hold to give the audience a sense of dismay and trepidation and slow motion was also used when the main character was on the verge of winning which may give hope to the viewer and send chills down their spine. This entire scene was mostly portrayed through montage editing. The audience mostly saw the highlights of the fight and not the intervals. This is done to maintain the pace and tension which flows along with the movie scene. There were also jump cuts onto the crowd in the arena so their emotions can reflect sensation and exhilaration for the 2 fighters. The collective excitement and nerve between the crowd and the fighters unites them together. This may also reflect with the audience watching this scene and also joining in.

There is continuity editing throughout the entire scene since the shots do follow up against each other and the eyeline matches a significant amount of times. This needs to be maintained so the viewer can easily follow up with the rapid pace of the UFC fight. So many close up shots on the character's face are used to emphasise the impact of the attacks and combinations used. This also illustrates the main character is determined and is willing to put everything on the line to save the people around him. This feels the audience with a very positive and warm feeling. Wide shots were used to exhibit the celebration after the main character's victory to capture a sense of community and special bonds attached to the main character. Slow motion is used while the main character is in danger such as getting trapped in the hold to give the audience a sense of tension and disturbance to keep to them engaged into the action. The slow motion also gets to audience to root for the main character to get out of the sticky situation and emerge victorious in the MMA fight. The scene after that is captured in sped up motion to divert the audience's attention onto the rapid actions of how a fight feels like so it makes it look like they are in the fight themselves. The main transitions used throughout this scene were jump cuts and straight cuts. This is done intentionally because other transitions such as fade out, dissolve and wipe may slow down the pace of the fight heavily and will make the audience lose the sense of tension and adrenaline rush they receive from this brawl. Juxtaposition was a key factor throughout the fight so the scene makes sense and the audience can easily follow up to what is going on. If juxtaposition was not used at all the audience would easily lose track of the fight and may be perplexed for the outcome. In the 1 of the kicks delivered in the fight there was a continuality error since the 2 different shots were taken were quite different from each other. This may be done to exaggerate how much power and effect the impact of the kick had on its enemy, hinting that it may be a game changer.
